Brett Favre settles lawsuit with two massage therapists

Former American football great Brett Favre has reached a settlement with two massage therapists who accused the sportsman of sexual harassment. Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole claimed Favre sent lewd text messages and made unwanted sexual advances towards them while he played for the New York Jets in 2008.
The former quarterback denied the allegations, which were levelled at him just days after he retired in 2010 – and now the group has come to an undisclosed agreement after nearly three years of litigation.
The pair’s lawyer, David Jaroslawicz, refused to divulge further details about the settlement, though he told the Associated Press on Friday (24May13) the case had been “resolved and discontinued”.
