Brian McKnight was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. McKnight worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Apollo Theater Hall of Fame" (NBC, 1992-93), "As the World Turns" (CBS, 1955-2010) and "Color of Night" (1994) starring Bruce Willis. He also contributed to "The 1993 Billboard Music Awards" (Fox, 1993-94), "The Essence Awards" (Fox, 1993-94) and "When We Were Kings" (1996). In the nineties and the early 2000s, McKnight devoted his time to various credits, such as "When You Believe: Music From "The Prince of Egypt"" (NBC, 1998-99), "The 1999 Billboard Music Awards" (Fox, 1999-2000) and "The 2nd Annual Soul Train Christmas Starfest" (1999-2000). He also worked on "Men of Honor" with Robert De Niro (2000). In the early 2000s, McKnight lent his talents to projects like "The Apprentice" (NBC, 2003-), "Madea's Family Reunion" (2006) starring Tyler Perry and "Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls" (2007). His credits also expanded to "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (2008) and "Black Dynamite" with Michael Jai White (2009). Most recently, McKnight appeared in "A Country Christmas Story" (Lifetime, 2013-14).
