Spears‘ new lawyer Stacy Phillips is angry that Federline‘s representative and the pop star’s former legal firm Trope & Trope have racked up bills of $900,000 in just four months–fees Spears has been ordered to pay herself.
Phillips claims Federline‘s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan’s fees are excessive–and that Federline can afford to pay his fees himself.
She also accuses Federline of failing to separate business and personal expenses, and claims his ex-girlfriend and mother of his other two children, Shar Jackson, has access to his business credit card, which she uses for personal purposes.
Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, who is presiding over the case, plans to take time to consider the issue of fees.
