Lifetime has announced that they’re making a biopic about a beloved pop superstar, and guess who it is. It’s Britney b–ch!

Britney Spears is officially getting her own Lifetime movie. The biopic will focus on the singer’s rise to fame and all of the trials and tribulations she faced throughout her career. We can expect it to go over that time she shaved her head in the early ’00s, her divorce from Kevin Federline, her 55-hour marriage to Jason Alexander and her relationship with Justin Timberlake.

According to Variety, who broke the news, the movie’s currently under the working title “Britney” and will be produced by Asylum Entertainment, with the script written by Anne-Marie Hess (she’s behind that awesome Lifetime flick Perfect High). They are joined by executive producers Steve Michaels, Jonathan Koch and Joan Harrison.

Lifetime has a pretty good track record when it comes to making biopics. The network has tackled the lives of R&B singer Aaliyah and the late Brittany Murphy, as well as the stories behind the hit TV shows 90210 and Saved By The Bell.

The latter half of 2016 is shaping up to be big for Spears. She’s set to release her ninth studio album “Glory” on August 26th and perform at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Production for Spears’ biopic begins on September 19th in Vancouver, Canada. The movie is expected to premier sometime in 2017.
