Bruce Springsteen spinning tunes for special radio show

Bruce Springsteen is turning guest DJ on Wednesday (April 8, 2020) to share his top playlist picks for fans in self-isolation.

The Born to Run hitmaker will take over SiriusXM’s E Street Radio for a special show, titled From His Home to Yours, at 10:00 am EST.

Initial reports had suggested Springsteen would be performing for fans live from the comfort of his own home, but E Street Radio host Jim Rotolo has since cleared up any confusion online.

“Bruce will be playing songs and sharing thoughts about the times we live in,” Rotolo first posted on Twitter on Tuesday.

In a follow-up tweet, he explained: “I want to clarify. Bruce is not performing. He’ll be playing songs he’s listening to while at home.”

Springsteen has been offering up archived concert footage for fans to view on YouTube and Apple Music during the coronavirus pandemic, while he also joined forces with the likes of fellow proud New Jersey native Jon Bon Jovi, Whoopi Goldberg, Danny DeVito, and Charlie Puth for a new fundraising video.

Calling for donations for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund, established to provide aid to those in need, Springsteen said: “These are uncertain times. What is for certain is the pain, the fear, and the real needs of many of our neighbors, our friends, and certainly all of those who are on the front lines of this pandemic.”
