Blues icon Buddy Guy is set to be celebrated with his own day in his Louisiana hometown.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is heading home to the town of Lettsworth this weekend (07-09Dec18), where Louisiana and Mississippi state officials will unveil an historic marker to honour the 82 year old’s contributions to music as part of the Mississippi Blues Trail, recognising sites related to the birth, growth, and influence of the genre.
Lettsworth authorities will also declare 8 December Buddy Guy Day, and rename Highway 418 Buddy Guy Way.
