Biography

Byron Morgan's talent for screenwriting gave him a Hollywood career. Morgan built a career in film writing for himself after such credits on "The Racing Strain" (1918), "Across the Continent" (1922) and "Sporting Youth" (1924). He also appeared in "California Straight Ahead" (1925), "One Minute to Play" (1926) and "The Palm Beach Girl" (1926). In the latter half of his career, Morgan wrote "Hell in the Heavens" (1934), "It's in the Air" (1935) and "The Sky Parade" (1936). He also appeared in the Bert Wheelre crime adaptation "High Flyers" (1937) and "The Kid From Texas" (1939). Morgan last acted in the Glenn Ford drama "Gallant Journey" (1946). Morgan passed away in February 2008 at the age of 119.
