Cardi B pledges to start crowdfunding page for imprisoned Tiger King star Joe Exotic

Cardi B is starting a page on the crowdfunding website GoFundMe in a bid to free imprisoned Tiger King star Joe Exotic, who is serving a 22-year sentence in a U.S. prison.

Released earlier this month (March 2020) on Netflix, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness follow the exploits of Joe, a prolific tiger breeder, who ran a popular illegal zoo in Oklahoma.

And while fans have taken to social media to rave over the show, Cardi B felt compelled to take action against authorities who sentenced the tiger lover to time in jail for plotting to kill an animal rights activist and other wildlife violations.

After initially admitting she was “a little lost cause I started f**king” during the second episode on Thursday (March 26, 2020), the Bodak Yellow star returned to social media the following evening with a string of impassioned posts about the real-life program.

“Carol you think you slick b**ch,” she wrote, referencing Carole Baskin, an animal rights activist and founder of Florida’s Big Cat Rescue. “They did Joe so dirty over and over again.”

She continued: “Who you think is more wrong? Narcissist joe ? Or Greedy Carol ? And why ?,” before pledging her support to Joe, insisting: “Bout to star a gofundme account for Joe .He shall be free (sic).”

Following the huge success of Tiger King, a popular choice for streaming service fans on lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic, Saturday Night Live regular Kate McKinnon is reportedly spearheading a spin-off series, in which she’ll portray Joe’s bitter rival, Baskin, while Dax Shepard has expressed interest in playing Joe.
