Biography

Academy Award-winner Carmen Dragon captivated countless audiences with his timeless music. Dragon worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Dishonored Lady" (1947), "Mr. Winkle Goes to War" (1944), "Out of the Blue" with Virginia Mayo (1947), "The Kid From Brooklyn" (1946) starring Danny Kaye, "The Strange Woman" (1946) and "Young Widow" (1946). In the forties and the fifties, Dragon devoted his time to various credits, such as "The Time of Your Life" with James Cagney (1948), "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" (1950) starring James Cagney, "Night Into Morning" (1951), "The Law and the Lady" (1951), "The People Against O'Hara" (1951) starring Spencer Tracy and "Lovely to Look At" (1952). In the fifties through the nineties, Dragon lent his talents to projects like "When in Rome" with Van Johnson (1952), "At Gunpoint" (1955) starring Fred MacMurray, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" with Kevin McCarthy (1956), "The In-Laws" (1979), "Go" with Katie Holmes (1999) and "Xiu Xiu: the Sent-Down Girl" (1999) starring Lu Lu Lee. Dragon last provided music for the Anthony Hopkins comedic drama "Slipstream" (2007). Dragon was married to Eloise Marion Dragon and had five children. Carmen Dragon passed away in March 1984 at the age of 70.
