Manhunt: The Search for America's Most Gorgeous Male Model 1996 - 1998, 2004 - 2005, 2007 - 2010 (Tv Show)
An undeniably sexy star who built a career based on her considerable erotic appeal while maintaining a girl-next-door persona, actress-model-singer Carmen Electra transformed herself from pop star protégé to pop culture phenomenon. Electra first rose to national attention with a short-lived singing career coupled with the first of several nude pictorials in Playboy in 1996, which led to playing Lani McKenzie on a season of international sensation "Baywatch" (NBC/syndicated, 1989-2001) and taking over co-hosting duties from Jenny McCarthy on "Singled Out" (MTV, 1995-97). Also at this time, she began appearing in movies, including "American Vampire" (1997), "Good Burger" (1997) and the horror spoof "Scary Movie" (2000). In 1998, Electra made major headlines for her brief, but tumultuous marriage to basketball star Dennis Rodman, which ended in domestic violence arrests and divorce just six months after tying the knot. Meanwhile, she again appeared in Playboy, co-starred in "Starsky & Hutch" (2004), "Date Movie" (2006) and "Epic Movie" (2007), and entered into a more stable marriage with rock musician Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction, whom she wed in 2003, only to divorce in 2007. By the time she appeared in "Disaster Movie" (2008), it was safe to say that Electra was the reigning queen of spoof movies, while her personal life continued to be the source of fascination for her brief engagement to another rock musician, Rob Patterson. Though never deemed a gifted performer, Electra nevertheless built a lasting career that more often than not poked fun at her glamorous persona.
