Charles Manson cremated

Cult leader Charles Manson’s remains have been cremated after a brief open casket funeral.
Family members have already scattered the Manson Family leader’s ashes after a private memorial that took place at a funeral home in Porterville, California on Saturday (17Mar18), four months after the killer died behind bars, where he was serving time for murders dating back to 1969.
Mark Pitcher, the pastor of the Church of the Nazarene who presided over the weekend funeral, told the Associated Press that about 20 to 25 people attended, among them Manson’s grandson, Jason Freeman, who wanted to make sure his grandfather was given “a proper burial”.
Manson and his hippie followers went on a murderous rampage in 1969. Among their victims were actress Sharon Tate and her unborn child.
