Biography

Charlie Barnett brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Barnett's early roles were in comedies like "D.C. Cab" (1983), "My Man Adam" (1985) and the Rosanna Arquette film "Nobody's Fool" (1986). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Miami Vice" (NBC, 1984-89). Barnett also contributed music to the Howard E Rollins Jr. drama "On the Block" (1990). Barnett was also credited in "Dellaventura" (CBS, 1997-98), "Hudson River Blues" (1997) and "Firestorm: The Smokejumpers' Story" (1998-99). He also was recognized in "Rome: Power & Glory" (TLC, 1998-99). Barnett was most recently credited in the Jose Antonio Vargas documentary "The Other City" (2010). Barnett passed away in March 1996 at the age of 42.
