Charlie Sheen Admits ‘Tiger Blood’ Was Dumb

For better or for worse, it’s been quite the year for Charlie Sheen. He was fired from Two and a Half Men, went to rehab, got divorced yet again, both of his Goddesses left him, been booed off stage on his comedy tours, and he’s about to be roasted on television for the whole world to see. Sure, he’s seen better days, but in a sit down with Matt Lauer on The Today Show — which will air on Friday morning — Sheen discusses his public meltdown and his plans to bounce back into normalcy.

While looking back on the past year, Charlie admits “I don’t really know what happened. It was one of those things where the planets were aligned, perfectly or imperfectly. I said some stuff and then it caught such traction globally and instantly that I couldn’t really put out the fire.” Through it all, Sheen confesses to finding all the chaos rather exciting and really doesn’t have any regrets…except maybe one. The warlock states that, “Looking back on it, I don’t think I would trade it, but there are portions of it I would have amended a little bit…I don’t know, the tiger blood [thing], it was so silly and people took it so seriously and I figured, alright, I’ll continue to give the people what they want, you know?” So wait, does that mean he doesn’t actually have tiger blood?

The star does insist though that he’s a changed man and is “absolutely” sober, although he couldn’t specify the last time he had a drink or took drugs. He says, “I don’t really keep track of the time. It’s been awhile.” And, post-Goddesses, Sheen says he’s more of a family man than he ever was before and reveals, “I’m seeing my kids a lot more, mending fences with Denise and Brooke, just trying to move forward and prioritize what matters.” He goes on to add, “I think that’s where the life is, you know, it’s in those quiet moments. It’s not the giant TV deal or the big party or the award or whatever, it’s the memory of your child’s smile at the end of the day that sort of brings that one lonesome tear, you know?” So does this mean that Charlie’s reign of lunacy is finally over? I wouldn’t count my chickens just yet…this year isn’t quite over.
