Charlie Simpson shares baby news onstage

British singer Charlie Simpson announced the news of his wife’s pregnancy onstage during a concert in London on Tuesday (10Feb15). The former Busted rocker told the audience at the Islington Assembly Hall that he and his wife Anna Barnard are set to become parents, as his pregnant partner watched from the crowd.
A representative confirmed the news to Ok.co.uk, saying, “We are happy to confirm that Charlie Simpson and his wife are expecting their first child. At his sold-out acoustic show at London’s Islington Assembly Hall last night, Charlie dedicated the title track of his new album Long Road Home to his wife who was in the audience, and told cheering fans, ‘I’m going to be a dad’.”
Simpson and Barnard married in an African-themed wedding in July (14).
