Chelsea Handler to front first stand-up special in six years at HBO Max

Comedian and actress Chelsea Handler is set to front her first stand-up special in six years as part of a new HBO Max special.

The event will be her first taped stage event since the release of Uganda Be Kidding Me: Live in 2014 on Netflix. The news comes following reports that her memoir Life Will Be the Death of Me is being developed into a series at Universal Television.

Handler previously fronted the Netflix release Hello, Privilege. It’s Me, Chelsea last year (2019) as well as a talk show for the streaming service. She also previously hosted E!’s late-night show Chelsea Lately for seven years before the run ended in 2014.
