The Wedding Planner (UNI/Hollywood) soundtrack should continue the winning ways, even if Hollywood’s latest diva darling doesn’t appear on it. The album itself is a girl thing; some of music’s most vibrant voices lend their pipes to the newest tracks. Jessica Riddle’s shimmering “Symphony” should elevate the teen music-maker to a higher plateau, while Lisa Stansfield’s “Somewhere My Baby Waits for Me” takes on a ’60s girl group sound that resonates warmly around the listener’s head. Some of the boys do make it to the party though, most notably Sister Hazel’s rollicking “We’ll Find It.”

As is becoming the tradition on romantic comedy soundtracks, some acts from past decades make it into the mix: John Denver’s folksy “Annie’s Song” and Olivia Newton-John’s lovey-dovey chestnut, “I Honestly Love You.” Even without “J. Lo,” there’s more than enough merriment at this wedding to ensure a happy honeymoon with record buyers.
