Chris Botti worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. He had an early role on the television special "Paul Simon Live in Central Park: Born at the Right Time Tour: One Night Only" (1990-91). Botti worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "One Life to Live" (1967-2010). In the early 2000s, Botti devoted his time to various credits, such as "Sting: Sacred Love" (A&E Network, 2003-04), "Dancing With the Stars" (ABC, 2004-), "The 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Concert" (E! Networks, 2004-05), "An American Celebration at Ford's Theatre" (ABC, 2005-06) and "The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" (CBS, 2005-06). Botti continued to exercise his talent in the early 2000s, taking on a mix of projects like "Everyone's Hero" with Whoopi Goldberg (2006), "Tony Bennett: An American Classic" (NBC, 2006-07), "August Rush" (2007) starring Freddie Highmore, "Crazy Love" (2007) and "The Bucket List" with Jack Nicholson (2007). Most recently, Botti worked on "Trying to Get Good: The Jazz Odyssey of Jack Sheldon" (2008).
