Christina Ricci amazed by potty training technique she tried with her son

Actress Christina Ricci followed her son around her apartment for three days to potty train him.
The Sleepy Hollow star admits she was “terrified” about the prospect of teaching little Freddie to go to the toilet on his own, but hated the idea of pre-school teachers and other parents frowning on her boy because he wasn’t potty trained.
The actress reached out for a book, titled Oh, C**p!, and decided to give one of the potty training methods included a try.
“I read this book, where you just take their pants off and keep them inside for three days and follow them around… with the potty,” she told U.S. TV show Live! With Kelly on Friday (27Jan17).
“You’re just like, ‘Go in here!'”
But the odd advice worked: “It took three days and then he was fine,” Ricci smiled.
The star, who turns 37 next month (Feb17), became a mum to Freddie in 2014, and admits she loves everything about motherhood, although there are aspects of her skincare regime that her little lad doesn’t approve of – especially when mum puts her scary deep hydrating mask on at night.
“My son, at first, would be like, ‘Momma, no wear that…’,” she laughed. “I’d say, ‘Mommy needs this; you don’t wanna see Mommy without this’.”
Christina has always taken care of her skin, but sometimes wishes she had paid more attention to her hands.
“I’m one of those people, where if you look at my hands, they’re pretty old, but then my face looks pretty good,” she added. “I forgot about my hands.
“Since I was 17, I’ve been using, like, heavy night creams. I would go to buy them and they’d (store assistants) be like, ‘You’re too young for this’, and I was like, ‘I don’t care, give them to me!'”
