Connie Smith was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In the beginning of her Hollywood career, Smith acted in films like "Hell on Wheels" (1967) with Marty Robbins. She also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Hats Off to Minnie Pearl: America Honors Minnie Pearl" (1992-93), "The Women of Country" (CBS, 1992-93) and "America's Music: The Roots of Country" (TBS, 1995-96).
