Corinne Bailey Rae and Common top Playboy Jazz Festival bill

Corinne Bailey Rae and Common are headlining the 2017 Playboy Jazz Festival.
The British songstress and American rapper will be joined by jazz favourites Marcus Miller, Gregory Porter and the Kenny Garrett Quintet. TajMo, made up of group Taj Mahal and the Keb’ Mo’ Band, are also on the bill.
U.S. TV personality George Lopez will host proceedings, running from 10 to 12 June (17), marking the fifth time he’s done so.
Tickets for the 39th annual event go on sale from Tuesday (07Mar17).
Playboy head Hugh Hefner founded the festival in 1959 in Chicago, though he didn’t hold another one until 20 years later, when he moved in to Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl in 1979, where the event still takes place.
Sponsored by Playboy Enterprises, the festival celebrates jazz and features both established and up and coming musicians.
Grammy nominees Seth MacFarlane and Janelle Monae played at the 2016 event.
