Biography

Craig Hill was an actor with a strong presence in film throughout his career. Hill's early roles were in dramas like the Bette Davis film "All About Eve" (1950), "Detective Story" (1951) with Kirk Douglas and Eleanor Parker and "Fixed Bayonets" (1951) with Richard Basehart and Gene Evans. He also appeared in "The Outcasts of Poker Flat" (1952) with Anne Baxter and "What Price Glory" (1952) with James Cagney and Corinne Calvet. He had an early role on the television special "A Christmas Carol" (1954-55). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "The Black Shield of Falworth" (1954) with Tony Curtis, the adaptation "Anything Goes" (1956) with Bing Crosby and the Debbie Reynolds comedy adaptation "Tammy and the Bachelor" (1957). He also appeared in "Deadly Duo" (1962), "Follow Me, Boys!" (1966) and the comedy "The Swinger" (1966) with Ann-Margret. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Domani Passo a Salutare la Tua Vedova... Parola di Epidemia" (1971), "Victoria" (1983) and the Zelda Rubinstein horror movie "Anguish" (1988). He also was featured in the TV movies "Top Secret" (1977-78) and "Revolver" (1991-92). Hill last acted in "Food of Love" (2002) with Juliet Stevenson. Craig Hill passed away in April 2014 at the age of 88.
