Cynda Williams was an actress who made a successful career for herself in film. Williams' acting career began mostly with her roles in various films, such as the Denzel Washington dramedy "Mo' Better Blues" (1990), "One False Move" (1992) and the Corbin Bernsen thriller "The Ghost Brigade" (1993). She also appeared in "Condition Red" (1995). She continued to act in productions like "The Tie That Binds" (1995) with Daryl Hannah, "Spirit Lost" (1996) and "Machine Gun Blues" (1996). Williams also created music for "A Room Without Doors" (1998). More recently, she tackled roles in the crime drama "Stingers" (1998) with Richmond Arquette, the comedy "Relax...It's Just Sex" (1999) with Mitchell Anderson and "Macarthur Park" (2003). She also appeared in the Michael Lerner comedic drama "When Do We Eat?" (2006). Williams also acted in "With Or Without You." Williams' husband was Billy Bob Thornton.
