Bonus Trivia

.

On initially passing on the role of Erin when the network offered her a paltry salary, Watros explained to TV Guide (May 20, 2000): "I loved the "Titus" guys and really wanted to do the show, but I couldn't sell myself short. So I broke up with [the producers] the way you'd break up with a boyfriend that wasn't working out: I decided to move on, find another guy and never look back. [But] every other pilot in town as looking for "Dawson's Creek"-type girls. I spent the next three months trying to pass myself off as 18, to no avail."The actress was eventually cast in the role at the insistance of the producers who got Fox to increase their offer to her.

.

On Nov. 30, 2005, Watros was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in Oahu, Hi; she plead guilty to drunken driving on Jan.12, 2005, where she was fined $312, had her driver's license suspended for 90 days and was ordered to undergo 14 hours of counseling.

.

Watros overcame a serious disease as a teenager; she was diagnosed with Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, an autoimmune disease of the blood. It required several years of chemotherapy and a splenectomy. In an interview in the Season 3 DVD of "Titus," she stated that she had lost her hair and gained over 100 pounds as a result of this disease.
