Damian Lewis and Iwan Rheon join soccer tournament line-up

Actors Damian Lewis and Iwan Rheon will be showing off their soccer skills for charity at a celebrity match in June (16).
The former Homeland star has been added to the final Soccer Aid 2016 line-up, and will play on the England team alongside stars including One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, British pop stars Robbie Williams, Marvin Humes and Olly Murs, and comedian Jack Whitehall.
Game of Thrones star Iwan, who plays Ramsay Bolton on the hit show, will join the Rest of the World team, which comprises of fellow Welshman Michael Sheen, former Glee actor Matthew Morrison, One Direction’s Niall Horan, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, and former Westlife star Nicky Byrne.
Iwan appeared on U.K. TV show This Morning on Thursday (26May16), the same day the full line-up was announced, and admitted he was concerned about looking a fool alongside professional soccer stars.
“I just don’t want to embarrass myself at Old Trafford!” he said. “My dad’s a lifelong Manchester United fan, so it’ll be amazing to play there and with these legends… and it’s all for a good cause.”
Matthew also shared his excitement about the event, writing on Twitter, “Beyond excited for this!”, alongside the official announcement.
The game raises funds and awareness for the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF). Both Robbie and Michael are U.K. ambassadors.
The two teams will face off on 5 June (16) at the Old Trafford stadium in Manchester, England. The 10th anniversary match will be broadcast live on U.K. TV.
