The Leftovers creator Damon Lindelof is reportedly in talks to develop a TV adaptation of the Watchmen.
The producer is in negotiations with bosses at HBO to create a series based on the cult comic book series.
If Lindelof signs on, it will be the second time TV bosses at the network have tried to adapt Watchmen – a series about the reluctant superheroes was abandoned in 2014.
Watchmen premiered in 1985 and centred on a group of crime fighters trying to solve the murder of one their own. It was adapted into a film in 2009, starring Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Patrick Wilson.
