Biography

Dave Willock worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. In his early acting career, Willock appeared in such films as "Cracked Nuts" (1941), the Ann Miller variety "Priorities on Parade" (1942) and "The Fleet's In" (1942). He also appeared in "The Gang's All Here" (1943) with Alice Faye, the comedy "Princess O'Rourke" (1943) with Olivia de Havilland and the comedy adaptation "Let's Face It" (1943) with Bob Hope. He kept working in film throughout the fifties, starring in the Ronald Reagan comedy "Louisa" (1950), "Flat Top" (1952) and the action picture "Roar of the Crowd" (1953) with Howard Duff. He also appeared in the Marjorie Main comedy "Ma and Pa Kettle on Vacation" (1953). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the comedic adaptation "Send Me No Flowers" (1964) with Rock Hudson, the Roddy McDowall comedic adventure "The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin" (1966) and "The Legend of Lylah Clare" (1968). He also appeared in "The Grissom Gang" (1971) with Kim Darby and the comedy "Now You See Him, Now You Don't" (1972) with Kurt Russell. Willock last worked on "Sawyer and Finn" (1982-83).
