Mormon pop star David Archuleta has returned home from a missionary trip in South America. The American Idol seventh season runner-up put his music career on ice to embark on a two-year trip to Chile with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in March, 2012.
Announcing his homecoming on video streaming site Youtube.com, Archuleta says, “Hola everyone, it’s Archie Archuleta and I’m home.”
During his trip to Chile, the 23 year old served as a choir performer for the Missionary Training Center’s general conference and Christmas concerts.
