David Ogden Stiers dead at 75

Actor David Ogden Stiers has died after a battle with bladder cancer.
Best known as Major Charles Emerson Winchester III on M*A*S*H, David passed away peacefully at his home in Oregon, on Saturday (03Mar18) at the age of 75.
His agent Mitchell K. Stubbs took to Twitter to share the sad news.
“I am very sad to report that David died this morning March 3, 2018 peacefully at his home in Newport, Oregon, after a courageous battle with bladder cancer,” he wrote. “His talent was only surpassed by his heart.”
David starred in M*A*S*H from 1977 until 1983, and was nominated for two Emmys for his supporting role. He also appeared on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, North and South, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, Rizzoli & Isles and Regular Show.
He is also best known for voicing Cogsworth the clock in Disney’s animated movie Beauty and the Beast.
Stiers voiced many characters for Disney, including Dr. Jumba Jookiba in Lilo & Stitch, Governor Ratcliffe and Wiggins in Pocahontas and Archdeacon in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
He received a Grammy nomination for his work on the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack, which was up for Album of the Year.
