Biography

American actor De'Voreaux White is best known for his role as Argyle, a limousine driver who aids the hero, John McClane, in the famed 1988 action film "Die Hard" starring Bruce Willis. He has also appeared in minor roles in films such as the 1980 comedy "The Blues Brothers", playing a young boy who attempts to steal a guitar from a music store, the 1983 comedy-drama "Max Dugan Returns", and the comedy "Action Jackson" in 1988. White made his television debut in the sitcom "The Jeffersons", in which he had a guest role, and landed recurring roles in the series "Little House on the Prairie", playing three different characters between 1979 and 1981. He continued to appear in small parts in various television shows, including the mystery series "Quincy M. E.", the family sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" and the crime drama "In the Heat of the Night". White joined the cast of the comedy show "Head of the Class" from 1989 until 1991, playing Aristotle McKenzie, an aspiring filmmaker. White then landed a major role in the 1992 thriller "Trespass", portraying the half-brother of a gang leader played by Ice-T. Afterward, he took break from film and television, but returned in 2000, making a minor appearance in the thriller "Shadow Hours".
