Dean Whitworth was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Whitworth kickstarted his acting career with films like "The River" (1984) with Mel Gibson and Sissy Spacek and "The Rutherford County Line" (1985) with Earl Owensby and Terry Laughlin. He also was featured in the miniseries "Chiefs" (1983-84). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Rob Estes action film "Trapper County War" (1989) and the Duke Ernsberger drama "Killer" (1990). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Vestige of Honor" (CBS, 1990-91). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "I'll Fly Away" (NBC, 1991-93). He also was featured in the TV movie "Bandit: Bandit's Silver Angel" (1993-94). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "American Gothic" (CBS, 1995-96). Whitworth most recently acted in "Cold Mountain" (2003).
