Denise Brown: ‘I Don’t Hate O.J.’

The sister of Nicole Brown Simpson insists her feelings of hatred for O.J. Simpson have gone.

The former American football champion was acquitted in 1995 of murdering his ex-wife and her friend Ron Goldman on June 12 1994, but was later found liable in civil court and ordered to pay $33.5 million.

But Denise Brown, who in 2004 said of Simpson, “I think he’s the devil walking around on Earth,” insists she has moved on and is relieved to no longer be consumed by hatred.

She says, “I was really angry (at him) for a long time and I did anything I could to irritate him and, in a sick sort of way, it gave me pleasure.

“It’s as if a whole load of yuck was just built up on my shoulders and now it’s gone.”

Simpson won custody of his children Justin and Sydney following the end of the trial, and Denise still has a good relationship with them although they never talk about the murders.

Denise adds, “It’s not a conversation that should be talked about. I (like

to) talk about the good things, the happy times, the things her mother and I did together when we were younger. I just want good memories.”
