Dick Button was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "U.S. Figure Skating Championships" (1987-88), "Calgary '88: The Olympic Adventure Begins" (ABC, 1987-88) and "1988 Winter Olympic Games" (ABC, 1987-88). He also appeared in "Gustave Lussi: The Man Who Changed Skating" (PBS, 1989-1990). He also acted in various movies at the time, including "The Young Doctors" (1961) with Fredric March and the comedy sequel "The Bad News Bears Go to Japan" (1978) with Tony Curtis. He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Skates of Gold III" (1995-96), "Thrifty Car Rental Skating Spectacular" (ABC, 1995-96) and "World Figure Skating Championships Presented by MasterCard" (ABC, 1995-96). He also appeared in "Nutrasweet World Challenge of Champions" (ABC, 1995-96). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "Reflections on Ice: A Diary of Ladies Figure Skating" (1997-98), "World Figure Skating Championships Presented By Mastercard" (ABC, 1997-98) and "U.S. Pro Figure Skating Classic" (ABC, 1998-99).
