DJ Quik threatens YG with legal action over My Hitta

DJ Quik has threatened rapper YG with legal action after he allegedly failed to credit the producer for his work on the hit song My Hitta.
Quik took to Twitter on Sunday (07Aug16) to vent about his lack of financial compensation, claiming he was instrumental in helping DJ Mustard create the 2013 smash, originally titled My N**ga, which has since been certified double platinum.
He also alleges he contributed vocals to the tune and was promised he would be properly credited, but the recognition never came – and neither did his royalties cheque.
Now he has had enough and has hired a lawyer to fight for his funds.
In an angry Twitter message to YG, his managers at Stampede Entertainment, and label executives at Def Jam Records, the DJ fumed, “Ya’ll had me engineer and record ‘My N**ga’ for @YG and did not give me credit. My lawyer has you (in) his sights. You’ve f**ked up.”
The tweet has since been deleted, but YG has made it clear he will not hand over the funds he allegedly owes without a fight.
“F**k the police @djquik,” he responded on Monday (08Aug16).
