The comedy actor had to undergo year-long treatment on the mangled appendage after using his foot to stop a runaway bike.
He explains, “On the second day (of my vacation) I got into a scooter accident. I went into oncoming traffic. I tried to stop… I put my foot down and tried to stop and took the top of my foot off.
“I was wearing sandals, which was stupid. There was this arterial spray. It was like the opening credits of Saving Private Ryan.
Myers spent the rest of his vacation with his foot strapped up and in the air, but the wound got infected and he had to seek the help of a specialist in New York City.
The star adds, “I was referred to this great doctor. I had to see him once a week for a year – and he saved my toe… It grew back.”.
