Biography

Dominic Frontiere built up his entertainment career by putting his musical skills to use in the world of Hollywood. Frontiere began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like "Seven Thieves" (1960), the action movie "One Foot in Hell" (1960) with Alan Ladd and the comedic adaptation "The Marriage-Go-Round" (1960) with Susan Hayward. His music also appeared in the action flick "Hero's Island" (1962) with James Mason. In the seventies, Frontiere's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the John Wayne historical feature "Chisum" (1970), "Barquero" (1970) and the Bruce Brown documentary "On Any Sunday" (1971). His work was also in "Hammersmith Is Out" (1972). Frontiere won a Best Original Score - Motion Picture Golden Globe Award for "The Stunt Man" in 1980. Frontiere's music was also featured in the adventure "The Aviator" (1985) with Christopher Reeve, the biopic "Brutal Glory" (1990) with Robert Vaughn and the Robin Williams box office smash comedic drama "Mrs. Doubtfire" (1993). Frontiere most recently worked on the Noel Marshall adventure "Roar" (2015).
