Putting his musical talent to use, Don Raye's music was featured in Hollywood productions. Raye began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like "A Song Is Born" (1948), "Thunder Road" (1958) with Robert Mitchum and the musical drama "The Buddy Holly Story" (1978) with Gary Busey. His music also appeared in the Bette Midler documentary "Divine Madness" (1980), "Raging Bull" (1980) and the Sean Penn dramedy "Racing With the Moon" (1984). In the nineties, Raye's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Tom Berenger comedy "Love at Large" (1990), the Demi Moore comedy "The Butcher's Wife" (1991) and the documentary "Broken Noses" (1991) with Andy Minsker. His work was also in "This World, Then the Fireworks" (1997). Raye's music was also featured in the Leonardo DiCaprio smash hit biopic drama "The Aviator" (2004), the Nicole Kidman dramatic period piece "Australia" (2008) and "Revolutionary Road" (2008) with Leonardo DiCaprio.
