Fagen has received honorary degrees from both Bard College in 1984 and Berklee College of Music in 2001.


Fagen has played synths on Poco's Indian Summer, Rickie Lee Jones' Pirates, and Martha Wainwright's I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too, and written tracks for The Yellowjackets, Rosie Vela, Greg Phillinganes and Jennifer Warnes.
