Brooklyn native Dondre Whitfield started his screen-acting career as a teenager with a stint on the hit sitcom "The Cosby Show". Whitfield later snagged a major role on the 1995 airline-themed comedy "The Crew". Following the quick demise of that series, Whitfield had other shots at starring roles, most notably "Between Brothers" with Kadeem Hardison, which was cancelled after fewer than 20 episodes. During the subsequent decade, Whitfield appeared regularly on TV shows, occasionally turning up in movies, including the baseball-themed comedy "Mr. 3000". Returning to sports, he later took on a recurring part as a coach on the gymnastics-oriented TV drama "Make It or Break It".
