Biography

Donna DeVarona was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. She appeared in a number of television specials, including "New York City Marathon" (ABC, 1985-86) and "The 70th Indianapolis 500" (ABC, 1985-86). DeVarona worked in television around the start of her acting career with a role on "Games People Play" (NBC, 1980-81). She also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Like Mother, Like Daughter" (1987-88), "U.S. Figure Skating Championships" (ABC, 1989-1990) and "1994 Goodwill Games" (ABC, 1993-94). DeVarona continued to exercise her talent in the nineties, taking on a mix of projects like "Baltimore Dog Show" (Animal Planet, 1997-98), "Houston Dog Show" (Animal Planet, 1997-98) and "Women's Sports Foundation's 18th Annual Salute to Women in Sports: Women & Sports... Girls Can Do Anything" (TNT, 1997-98). Her credits also expanded to "XVIII Olympic Winter Games" (TNT, 1997-98) and "Sahuaro State Dog Show" (Animal Planet, 1998-99). DeVarona most recently appeared on "Dare To Dream: The Story of the U.S. Women's Soccer Team" (HBO, 2005-06).
