Drake Officially a High School Graduate

DrakeAfter quitting that pesky little thing they call high school almost 10 years ago to hang around in a wheelchair on this show called Degrassi: The Next Generation, now-rapper Drake (aka Aubrey Graham) has gone ahead and got himself graduated.

Drake’s road through the Canadian education system was detoured in 2001 when he received the role of Wheelchair Jimmy Jimmy Brooks, a student who became confined to a wheelchair after being shot in the back by a school shooter (Degrassi, it goes there). So then why didn’t he get his diploma when the show went off the air in 2009, you ask? Well he had this whole too-busy-selling-5-million-albums thing got in the way for a bit.

But now Drake has prioritized his education and managed to finish up his credits at the Vaughan Road Academy in Ontario. At 25, Drake is now officially a high school graduate.

Last night, the rapper tweeted his excitement and pride to his 9.2 million Twitter followers.

97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school!
