Dru Hill awarded default judgment in breach of contract lawsuit

R&B stars DRU HILL have reportedly scored a legal victory against their record label bosses over a botched comeback deal.
The stars, led by frontman Sisqo, filed a lawsuit against executives at Kedar Entertainment Group (KEG) in June (15), demanding $1 million (£670,000) in damages for each bandmate.
The disgruntled musicians accused their label bosses of failing to properly promote their 2010 comeback album, InDRUpendence Day, and Sisqo’s solo effort, Last Dragon, which was released earlier this year (15). They also alleged label chiefs did not spend a promised $300,000 (£200,000) on marketing and they also failed to pay any royalties for the music.
Bosses at the label failed to respond to the lawsuit, and the group was awarded a $1 million default judgement last month (Nov15).
According to Bossip.com, label heads must also release the group from their contract.
