Edward James Olmos cast in Sons of Anarchy spin-off

Veteran Latino actor Edward James Olmos is taking on a lead role in the Sons Of Anarchy spin-off.
The acclaimed biker drama ended its seven-season run in 2014 and now creator Kurt Sutter is preparing to return to the world of motorcycle gangs for a show set in Oakland, California.
The Blade Runner and Battlestar Galactica star Olmos will play Felipe Reyes. The series will take place after the events of Sons of Anarchy and will centre on vengeful character E.Z. Reyes’ bid to take down a crime cartel.
In Sons of Anarchy, the Mayans were a Hispanic group which battled the biker club led by actor Charlie Hunnam’s character. They were involved with prostitution and led a heroin ring.
Sutter has co-written the pilot and will direct it. It is unclear when it will premiere.
