Biography

Elisabeth Wiener was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In her early acting career, Wiener appeared in such films as the dramatic adaptation "Behold a Pale Horse" (1964) with Gregory Peck, "Woman in Chains" (1968) and "Marry Me! Marry Me!" (1969). She also appeared in "L' Araignee d'eau" (1970) and the Adamo crime flick "L' Ardoise" (1970). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the seventies, appearing in "Ou est toujours trop bon avec les femmes" (1970), the comedy "Trop jolies pour etre honnetes" (1972) with Bernadette Lafont and the experimental "Le Moine" (1973) with Franco Nero. She also appeared in "Au long de la riviere Fango" (1974) with Emmanuelle Riva and "La Jeune Fille assassinee" (1975). Wiener's music was also featured in "Le Chant du Depart" (1975), the drama "Les Loulous" (1976) with Jean-Louis Robert and "Cap Canaille" (1983) with Juliet Berto. In addition to her music, Wiener also appeared on-screen in "Une Fille cousue de fil blanc" (1976) and the comedy "Qu'est-ce qu'on attend pour etre heureux!" (1982) with Annick Alane. Wiener more recently acted in the Juliet Berto sci-fi fantasy "Duelle" (1991).
