She also worked in film during these years, including roles in the Warren Beatty dramatic adaptation "Lilith" (1964). She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for "All My Children" in 1980. This new success propelled her to seek out a role in the Craig Wasson drama "Four Friends" (1981). She continued to work steadily in television dramas throughout the eighties and the nineties, appearing on "Tribes" (1989-1990) and "Life Goes On" (ABC, 1989-1993). In the eighties and the nineties, she worked on the silver screen, taking roles in the dramatic adaptation "We're No Angels" (1989) with Robert De Niro and the Julia Roberts box office smash dramatic adaptation "Sleeping With the Enemy" (1991). Lawrence's more recent roles included the comedy "Son-In-Law" (1993) with Pauly Shore, "A Reason to Believe" (1995) and "The Crucible" (1996) with Daniel Day-Lewis. She also appeared in the comedy adaptation "Isn't She Great" (2000) with Bette Midler. Most recently, Lawrence acted in the action film "Unbreakable" (2000) with Bruce Willis.
