Biography

Elizabeth Meehan wrote a variety of screenplays throughout the duration of her Hollywood career. Early in her screenwriting career, Meehan penned scripts for "Laugh, Clown, Laugh" (1928) with Lon Chaney and "The Rescue" (1929). She further advanced in the entertainment industry by knocking out silver-screen scripts for "The Case of Sergeant Grischa" (1930), "Girl of the Rio" (1932) and the drama "Oliver Twist" (1933) with Dickie Moore. She also appeared in "Harmony Lane" (1935) and "Parachute Nurse" (1942). Later in her career, Meehan wrote the Nelson Eddy adventure "Northwest Outpost" (1947). Meehan passed away in April 1967 at the age of 73.
