Elizabeth Sung dies aged 63

The Young And The Restless actress Elizabeth Sung has died.
According to editors at Soaps.com, Sung, 63, died on Tuesday (22May18). The cause of death was not given.
The veteran film and TV actress appeared in the ABC soap The Young and the Restless, as restaurant owner Luan Volien from 1994 to 1996. She also notched up a string of TV credits including; Hawaii Five-0, The Sopranos, Bones, and Curb Your Enthusiasm among others.
However, big screen fans will remember her from her memorable roles in critically-acclaimed drama The Joy Luck Club and Rob Marshall’s big screen adaptation of bestselling book Memoirs of a Geisha in which she played Mrs Sakamoto.
Outside of her acting career, Sung became an AIDs activist after her older brother Philip, a fashion designer, died of the disease in 1985, and was an active member of groups that promoted gender and racial diversity in the entertainment industry.
She is survived by her husband, the screenwriter Peter Tulipan.
