Ellen Page Is the Target of Twitter Death Threats — REPORT

ALTTwitter: a mico-blogging site that changed the face of communication forever… while also making it way too easy for crazy people to tell their celebrity obsessions they want them to die.

That’s what happened to Ellen Page, who TMZ is reporting received death threats from two Twitter accounts, both of which have since removed the vicious, 140-character messages and vanished. But Page is taking precautions: the LAPD is now investigating the matter, with a warrant issued to Twitter to hand over any and all information that could lead to the identities of the anonymous stalker.

The warrant revealed the contents of the terrifying tweets: “I’m going to murder Ellen Page. She’s dead.”

Another included, “Ellen Page if you continue to date Alexander [Skarsgard] I will K-1-L-L you in public in the next year … Be it in a club, at a game, in a restaurant, or when you’re signing autographs.” (Page recently wrapped production on The East, in which she costarred with Skarsgard.)

The incident follows in the wake of previous threats phoned in to the LA Film Festival. Page’s recent collaboration with Woody Allen, To Rome with Love, premiered at the festival. An anonymous caller insisted that he would attend the fest and “Kill Page.”
