Emma Roberts accidentally doused in champagne at publicity event

The Scream 4 star was promoting the launch of Vogue Eyewear’s new Emma shades at the Sunglass Hut when an attendee tripped over a lighting chord, sending their drink flying into the air.

Roberts took the accident in stride and quickly dried herself off, before posing for pictures in her new namesake glasses.

A witness tells the New York Post, “Emma was nearly knocked over and was soaked in champagne. She quickly brushed it off before regaining her composure and taking pictures.”

And it appears the incident didn’t put too much of a damper on her night – taking to her Twitter.com account the following day (19Oct12), she wrote in a post, “I had such a blast at my sunglasses launch last night!! thanks… for an incredible event”.
