Biography

Enrique Lucero worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Lucero's earliest roles were in film, including the western "Sierra Baron" (1958) with Brian Keith, the Ignacio Lopez Tarso drama "Macario" (1959) and "Love Has Many Faces" (1965). He also appeared in the Charlton Heston western "Major Dundee" (1965), "Guns For San Sebastian" (1968) with Anthony Quinn and the adaptation "Shark" (1969) with Burt Reynolds. He kept working in film throughout the seventies, starring in "Buck and the Preacher" (1972) with Sidney Poitier, the Robert Mitchum action picture "The Wrath of God" (1972) and "Canoa" (1976). He also appeared in the Richard Harris action movie "The Return of a Man Called Horse" (1976). During the latter part of his career, he continued to act in the action flick "The Octagon" (1980) with Chuck Norris, "Green Ice" (1981) and the drama "Under Fire" (1983) with Nick Nolte. He also appeared in "The Evil That Men Do" (1984) with Charles Bronson and the Liv Ullmann drama "Gaby-A True Story" (1987). Lucero also acted in "Murieron a Mitad del Rio."
