Biography

Ethel Smith was a prolific actress who created a name for herself largely on the big screen. With debut roles in "Bathing Beauty" (1944) with Red Skelton and the musical comedy "George White's Scandals" (1945) with Joan Davis, Smith began her career in film. Later, Smith tackled roles in "Cuban Pete" (1946), the remake "Easy to Wed" (1946) with Van Johnson and "Hollywood Star Revue" (1948-49). Toward the end of her career, Smith acted in "Melody Time" (1948).
